The Dark Knight Rises

The Dark Knight rises is an action packed movie that captures the best of the Batman trilogy. Christian Bale returns to the spotlight after eight years since he vanished. He returns in this sequel to claim Gotham city back from the hands of evil.

The movie is really crazy good.  Every second something is just exploding and there is high tension in every plot. It was hard keeping up with the amount of gadgets Bruce uses in this movie.

The villain is this chapter is Bane. He was originally a member of the League of Shadows before being kicked out. He is a menace and his voice just lures you into the movie.

The Lion King Part 1

The Lion King is one of the best creations to come out of Walt Disney Studios. We can all relate to the fact that this movie was very touching and if your eye didn't sparkle when Mufasa was falling off that cliff then something is definitely wrong with you. 

I think we all know the story, but for those who didn't get to watch this. I wont spoil it for you because you can bootleg this for free online.

Waynes World

Waynes World is a comedy film with a surplus of 90's material to work with. Wayne, the main character of the movie, hosts a TV show in his parents basement with his best pal Garth while they interview various people, ogle beautiful women, and make fun of locals disguised as an interview for their TV show.

This movie is (I apologize for the cliche) awesome for 3 reasons, bohemian rhapsody, the 90's humor, and cliches. Queen will always be a classic in music history, any movie with this song in particular becomes an instant classic merely by association. Besides the music, the culture of that time has aged quite a bit (over 20 years since this movie was released). But the humor does not feel forced, and the meta commentary just makes everything so much funnier.Despite having been made years before my birth I think it can still be appreciated, like an old classic such as Citizen Kane or Dracula, although not as prestigious or well written.

Holes

Holes is a disney film that was made back in 2003, it is based off of the novel by Louis Sachar, which some people may recognize the name since this is a widely used public school novel. It follows a boy named Stanley Yelnats IV (aptly named this as a family tradition, his last name being his first name backwards), who is sent to a camp for juveniles to dig holes. The camp is used as a disciplinary program for training youths to re-enter society.  The boarding is terrible, showers have one temperature; cold, and the only water is in camp, surrounded by desert reaching dozens of miles all around.

This movie is very very good, not comedically like my previous entry but much more genuine. The first time I saw this movie I was nine and I watched it in a theater, as opposed to nowadays where I watch everything at home. Without going into too many details this movie is surprised me a lot. The story was deep and strangely dark for a disney film, and thats particularly what stood out to me. Every other disney film I had seen has that emotional formula storyline and at the time this just captured the way people acted realistically.

Prisoners

This movies is a typical mystery movie but has catches you never expect. Two girls playing outside near by an RV on Thanksgiving and disapear for a little of a week. Dads are desperate to find them, and finally find a man with a brain of a ten year old who is being taken care of his "aunt". The aunt explains how its just them because his parents pasted away as well as her husband. The girls dads find her story hard to believe. Turns out the aunt is responisble for the kidnapping includding the man that has a brain for a ten year old. This movie is a very catchy and tricky because you never expect the aunt to be involed in all of this. Only thing that i disliked is the ending, she ends up trapping one of the dads and no one ever finds him.

1)  I saw it and enjoyed it quite a bit and I will agree it was refreshing to see some original thought.
As to the spiritual aspect in the end the people of faith were vindicated and the people who had lost their faith were not.

This action movie is a very good and interesting. Its just Europeans trying to take over America but theres one who is against them trying to prove herself she's with America not Europe. All the action that takes place looks very realistic and well played by the actors. I find this movie good because i normally don't enjoy action movies but i surely enjoyed this one.

Bad Movies 

The Last Airbender

The tale is about a world balanced on the four nations of Water, Earth, Fire, and Air. Each nation can control their native elements. For example the water tribe can bend water and the fire tribe can bend fire. The only exception is the Avatar, who has the ability to control all 4 elements.

World War Z

World War Z is a apocalyptic story based around the harrowing cause of the zombie virus. Follow Gerry Lane a former United Nations investigator as he must separate from his family and the safety of solitary shelter while he finds the secrets behind the zombie apocalypse.

Before I get into critiquing the movie I have to say this is NOT the worst movie i have ever seen, just by the visuals alone it surpasses some real crap. The actor Brad Pitt plays the main role just fine but some of the screenwriting was hilarious and just plain bad. It is the story itself that just seems silly and obviously made-up being a zombie movie, but to the point of making some scenes easily avoidable if the characters used more common sense. For example, theres a point in the movie where the main character is running away from zombies up a flight of stairs with his family and when the zombies start catching up the main character stops to violently destroy them, while his family just seems to...stand there. They don't bother to keep running they just stand there and watch while daddy beats a zombies head in. Another instance of a hilarious moment was when a soldier in the movie got bit on the fingers, and main character chops their hand off without a second thought, and I could not believe he could have possibly known to do that, or maybe he just wanted to chop off someones hand I don't know. Without going into too much detail this movies funniest twist is also its conclusion which is that the zombies as an INSTINCT, do NOT eat sick humans, their primary "goal" is to spread their disease to as many "healthy" recipients as possible. In order for a person to be cured of the zombie threat they have to be sick with a fatal illness.  I thought that was...to be softer... creative of the writers to put that in, the first time I watched this movie I had to say it back to myself...the cure for the zombie threat...is aids...and cancer...and malaria and syphilis and meningitis.

                                                                    

Vampires Suck

This movie had to been the most horrible flick made. All parts were ridiculously dumb and had no point and had no point. The moves they tried to pull looked super fake and werent even funny! I dont know how this movie made it out on theater because it was just a waste of time and money on this.
